Technical Ceramics Information Center
Business managers, design engineers, instructors and students
will now find it much easier to obtain reliable and comprehensive
information on the capabilities and uses of technical ceramics.
Since October 1996, the Technical Ceramics Information Center has
been competently addressing numerous requests for information and
advice concerning ceramic materials and their uses.
The Association of German Manufacturers in the Ceramic Industry
(Verband der Keramischen Industrie e.V.) began to establish its
Technical Ceramics Information Center (IZTK) in the spring of 1996.
The Center's brief is to provide potential users with additional
information on the application potential and benefits of these materials,
proceeding within the framework of an information program conducted
on the "Superior Concept" theme.
Technical ceramics have come to play an important role in many
areas, from electrical engineering, electronics, chemicals and environmental
technology to the manufacture of automobiles, machinery and process
equipment. And yet, in their day-to-day business, many manufacturers
of technical ceramics are finding that the capabilities and application
potential of their materials are not yet fully known or undervalued.
As part of its campaign, the Technical Ceramics Information Center
has embarked on a comprehensive advisory and information effort
first launched in October 1996. In implementing this program we
are able to draw on the combined expertise of the Association's
members, all of which are long-standing manufacturers of technical
ceramics. IZTK also distributes a series of publications ranging
from an introductory "The complete recipe book - Technical
Ceramics" to the "Technical Ceramic materials" a
data lists containing detailed specifications.
Your competent contact at IZTK is Mr. Martin Hartmann, who is
in charge of all activities related to information and advisory
services. Where specific application problems are concerned, he
will ensure that your enquiry is referred to the appropriate expert
from our member (manufacturer) community. Whoever requests our assistance
at this site may rest assured that the matter will receive our systematic
attention and follow-up. We shall not pause until each serious question,
each real-life application problem, has been properly addressed
and/or resolved.
On the other hand, the manufacturers of technical ceramics will
turn to this site for proposals and suggestions that may lead to
new fields of activity and more innovative products.
