Progress from tradition.

Porzellanfabrik Hermsdorf GmbH has more experience than anybody else in Europe in the production of technical ceramics.

Insulators have been in production at Hermsdorf since the end of last century.

This tradition saw the birth of the Porzellanfabrik Hermsdorf GmbH an efficient manufacturer of high voltage ceramics.

Our products.

We manufacture insulators using C 110 quartz compound which are able to meet high electrical and mechanical demands.

This means that we can offer our clients a more cost effective alternative to alumina porcelain where our C 110 mechanical strength parameters suffice.

We also offer a variety of steatite products in C 220 and C 221 for use in the high frequency sector.

We manufacture insulators with a maximum external diameter of 550 mm and a maximum internal diameter of up to 350 mm and wall thicknesses between 0,5 and 90 mm.

Using our epoxy resin adhesion technique we are able to produce insulators using a modular element system up to a length of 5 m.

Our technical porcelains are used for:

• current and voltage transformers,
• insulating bushings,
• interrupter chamber casings
• surge arrestors.

Our established quality assurance system conforms to DIN EN ISO 9002 and since march 1998 to ISO 9001 certified by DQS. This gives our clients the security and confidence that we will maintain this level of quality in the long term.
